Have you ever found yourself in a situation that you wanted to just wish it away? Yeah, I know… we all end up in these situations sometimes where everything seems to be going okay and then Murphy’s Law strikes. Something goes wrong at the worst possible time. Hey, that’s just the way it goes. Fair or not, bad things happen to good people all the time and now our only real option is to just deal with it, right?
So, how does one deal with it? Well, it certainly isn’t by just sitting on our butts thinking of all the reasons that this happened to us and who we might be able to blame. Nor can we wish it away. So, what do we do? How do we deal with it? Well, we productively use our time, energy, and talents to deal with this unfortunate incident through the magic of taking action.
That’s right! Regardless of what happened or how unfair life may be sometimes, we still need to take action and stop making excuses, blaming others, or wishing it away! As Thomas Edison once said, “I never did anything worth doing by accident, nor did any of my inventions come by chance. They came by work.” Maybe when Murphy’s Law strikes, instead of trying to wish it away, we should try instead to be grateful for the gift that has been handed to us. This gift of necessity will push us toward the likes of people like Thomas Edison and other problem solvers. Basically, creating solutions, even if it’s out of necessity, makes us more successful, just like other great inventors, right? Furthermore, it is something that we can all do!
Now teens, go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us. Remember that we can’t just wish things away. Like Thomas Edison, we have to take action and do the necessary work regardless of whether it is fair or not, or who is to blame. And once again, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
